Ontario Residents
The Ontario Health Insurance Plan covers the cost of most healthcare services for patients with a valid Health Card. However, some services and products are not covered.
Patients who receive medical care, but cannot show proof of a valid Ontario Health Insurance Card will be charged for hospital services provided to them. If you present your valid Health Card number to Accounts Receivable within 24 hours of your visit, you will not be billed for the OHIP covered hospital charges.
Out of Province Residents
Patients who receive medical care must provide a valid Out of Province Health Card with valid expiry date. Failure to provide proof of valid coverage will result in the patient being charged for service, ambulance and applicable supplies.
Out of Country Residents
All out of country residents are to pay for hospital services before leaving the hospital. Pay by cash or credit card at Patient Access Department located in the front lobby.
